BakerPrice is a growing collection of free costing and quoting tools for home bakers. Its focus is practical: helping you see what a bake costs, include a fair allowance for your own working time, and understand the profit left after those costs.

Who the tools are for

We focus on small home-baking orders, starting with cookies and decorated biscuits. The calculators start in pounds sterling and use British terminology, while also offering other currency labels. The currency selector does not convert exchange rates. Bakers elsewhere can use the tools with their own costs and local requirements.

From a recipe cost to an order decision

The recipe cost calculator provides a simple batch and per-item price from ingredients, labour, packaging, overhead and a target margin. The cookie and biscuit quote planner goes further: it checks a customer’s budget against whole batches, fees, your target pay, residual profit and available active working hours.

A positive cash balance is not always a profitable job. Separating your compensation from the profit that remains makes that difference easier to see. Leftover cookies are not automatically treated as extra sales.

How calculations and examples are prepared

Our pricing methodology explains the formulas, rounding and assumptions. Examples are illustrative calculations, not surveyed market prices or promises about what a customer will pay. Enter your actual costs and review the result before sending a quote.

Development and written explanations use AI assistance. Calculation behaviour is checked against independent expected results and browser interactions. This does not make the tools error-free or replace review of your own figures. We do not claim professional accounting, tax or food-safety accreditation.

What BakerPrice does not do

The tools do not calculate your tax obligations, certify food-business compliance, check your delivery schedule or guarantee demand. Currency labels are not currency conversion. The current calculators run their arithmetic in your browser and do not save the values you enter; keep a record before closing the page.
